Progress has been made. All tile has been chosen, and ordered
This is the glass/stone combination 1/2″ x 1/2″ tile that will be used on the shower ceiling, floor and in the new niches
The most expensive material at $13.75 SQF. We need 45 SQF!
MAIN FIELD TILE
The main field tile 12″ x 24″ ‘planks’. It will be placed in vertical direction on the walls of the shower, floor to ceiling. It will also be used on the floor in the bathroom to create a seamless look. The GREAT news is that we found a tile that looks just like the pricey ($10 plus SQF) tile we liked so much for only $2.75 SQF!!!! Very Happy.
All grout colors where chosen too. The goal is to have the tile grout joints be as minimal as possible. That said, the grout color choices were balanced with look and functionality….not too light as even with grout sealer grout can get stained over time.
We had a $3,000 budget for the job, give or take the necessary +/- 10% that should be factored into EVERY remodel job no matter how small.
Always begin with a spread sheet to track your design budget. This document can be used as a reference guide to the specific materials chosen and where the material was sourced from. If you ever need to replace something, all the data is at your finger tips.
NOW THE FUN BEGINS. ALL MATERIALS WILL BE AVAILABLE ON TUESDAY, AND DEMO BEGINS ON THURSDAY!
